           Mirissa is one of the best places in the world for whale watching, especially for the largest marine mammal “Blue Whales”. Actually it takes only six to nine nautical miles from Mirissa harbor to reach whale habitats. We “Whale Watching Club - Mirissa” operating whale watching tours for last five years and though our experience, we can guarantee 95% of whale sights in our visits.
 

Our whale watching tours start from Mirissa harbor and most of the time whales can be seen in very close to the Mirissa coast. Some days it takes several hours as they swim away for food in deep sea. During our journey to Blue whales we can see several other whale species, dolphins and other marine life also. Killer whales, Sperm whales, bride whales and Pigmy killer whales are the different kind’s whales we can see. Spinner dolphins, Bottled nosed dolphins and Riso dolphins are the various dolphin types. Also Green back turtle, whale shark, flying fish and tuna fish are other marine species can be seen in some days.

Whale Watching Tour

          We start our whale watching tour at 7 AM in the morning, so you should be at Mirissa harbor at 6.30 AM. After you onboard our boat crew will provide all the required things and help you to prepare for the tour. Normally a whale watching tour takes three to five hours’ time and that could be changed according to the whale sights. During the tour we will provide you morning tea, coffee, picnic breakfast and mineral water. Also you will have biscuits and fruit juice in the returning trip

Instructions
    Not allowed to throw anything in to sea (food, garbage)
    Not allowed to swim with Whales and dolphins
    Put your garbage in to the bin provided in the boat
    If you feel sick while in tour you can use the beds in the boat
